OXFORD -- Sybil B. Thomas, 86, died Monday (Aug. 15, 2005) at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Holdrege.

She was born April 8, 1919, to Arthur and Gladys (Shellenbarger) Nicholson in Havelock. She lived in Beaver City until the family moved to Colorado in the early 1930s.

She married Floyd Thomas on Dec. 13, 1978. The couple made their home in Oxford.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd in 1985; step-son, Larry Thomas; and brother, Wesley.

Survivors include step-son Gerald Thomas and wife, Cindy of Arapahoe; step-daughter-in-law, Jane Thomas of Oxford; special friend, Roger Martin of Oxford; and five step-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, 10 a.m., at Mount Hope Cemetery in Beaver City with Keith Theobald officiating.
