Arlington Richard Terrell, 80, died Thursday (July 298, 2005) at Community Hospital of McCook.

He was born March 5, 1925, to Earl J. and Mary Olive (Nealeigh) Terrell in the Cornell Community. He grew up in the Cornell Community and graduated from Trenton High School.

He entered the U.S. Marine Corps and served during World War II.

On Feb. 19, 1947, he married Lela Mae Boyd at McDonald, Kan. They made their home in California and Oregon before returning to Trenton in 1957 where he was worked as an electrician and was engaged in farming and in the plumbing business. He retired in 2002.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Trenton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Lela on Aug. 2, 1998.

Survivors include his daughter, Susan and husband, Ron Craw of Stratton; two sons, Richard Terrell of Lancaster, Calif., and Mike and wife, Leslie Terrell of Simi Valley, Calif.; two sisters, Hazel McDonald of Sherwood, Ore., and Ruth Reynolds and husband, Jim of Woodbury, Conn.; special friend, Zila McCollam of Culbertson; five grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., at the United Methodist Church in Trenton with the Rev. Dan Spearow officiating. Interment, with military honors will follow at the Trenton cemetery.
