Idalene Ruth Egan, 98, died Saturday (July 9, 2005) at Hillcrest Nursing Home.

She was born Jan. 20, 1907, in Granville, Mo., to George and Ida (Mitts) Martin.

On May 2, 1925, she married William Grant Egan at Oberlin. They made their home in McCook where they were owners and operators of a plumbing business.

She lived at Willow Ridge Retirement Center for 10 years before moving to Hillcrest in May.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and two sisters, Wilma Yost and Velma Horn.

Survivors include her son, Robert Egan and wife, Joan of Lakewood, Colo.; and one grandson.

Services will be Wednesday, 11 a.m., at St. Alban's Episcopal Church in McCook with the Rev. Sam Williams officiating. Internment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in McCook.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home. Please use south entrance on "C" Street. Condolences may be sent online at www.carpenterbreland.com.
