NORTH PLATTE -- McCook's Austin and Connor Larson participated in the North Platte tennis tournament on Monday and Tuesday.

The results are as follows:

Boys 14 Singles

First round -- Austin Larson defeated Zachary Bochek 6-3, 6-4.

Semis -- Austin Larson lost to Jeff Olson 6-2, 6-0; Connor Larson defeated Wayd Odle 6-2, 6-1.

Finals -- Connor Larson defeated Jeff Olson 6-1, 6-0.

Boys 16 Singles

First round -- Connor Larson defeated Jon Sandau 6-1, 6-0.

Quarters -- Connor Larson lost to Tyler Benson 6-1, 6-1.

Consolation Semis -- Connor Larson defeated Collin Shepherd 6-1, 6-1.

Consolation Finals -- Connor Larson defeated Eric Van Boening 6-1, 6-3.

Boys 16 Doubles

Semis -- Austin Larson-Jeff Olson lost to Trent Keller-Grant Nagaki 6-3, 6-3.

Lee Carter shoots hole-in-one

McCook's Lee Carter shot a hole-in-one Wednesday at Heritage Hills Golf Course.

Carter recorded his hole-in-one on the 135-yard No. 5 hole using a 9-wood.

Witnesses were Ken Bradley, Bryce Buhr and Garrett Wagner, all of McCook.
