ARAPAHOE -- Doris Ann Turvey, 62, of Greeley, Colo., died Thursday (June 16, 2005), at her home.
She was born April 6, 1943 at Holbrook to Harry and Verna (Graning) Blauvelt. She attended Arapahoe High School and graduated in 1961. She attended the University of Northern Colorado and graduated with a business degree.
On April 9, 1967, she married Dan Turvey at First United Methodist Church in Arapahoe. She worked for many years for financial companies in Greeley.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Arapahoe, and the High Honor Society of the University of Northern Colorado.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Ruth Arlene Blauvelt.
Survivors include her husband, Dan Turvey of Greeley, Colo.; one son, Kevin Turvey of Loveland, Colo.; three brothers, Lyle and wife, Rosalie Blauvelt of McCook, Jack and wife, Valerie Blauvelt of McCook, and Paul and wife, Linda Blauvelt of Holdrege; and three sisters, Lila and husband, Tom Ellis of Shreveport, La., Harriet and husband, Larry Hornaday of Kearney, and Thelma and husband, Charles Dunlap of Kearney.
Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Arapahoe with the Rev. Hyeongdong Baek officiating. Interment will be at Arapahoe Cemetery.
