ST. FRANCIS, KAN. -- Alvin Henry Hempeler, 99, died Monday (June 13, 2005), at Good Samaritan Village in St. Francis, Kan.

He was born May 11, 1905 in Cook.

He was a farmer.

Survivors include one sister, Charlotte Hempeler of St. Francis, formerly of Bird City.

Services were today at 10:30 a.m. at the St. John Lutheran Church in Bird City. Interment was at the Bird City Cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to the Good Samaritan Village or St. John Lutheran Church.

Knodel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
