LINCOLN -- Florence Louise Ripenburg, 81, died Sunday (June 12, 2005).
She was born Sept. 26, 1923, in Camden, Mo. to Earl and Millie (Jackson) Lewis.
She was a member of Fellowship Community Church, WCG Mission Group. She loved to read and write poetry, and was a longtime Sunday School teacher.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Ripenburg; one daughter, Pauline Richardson; three brothers, Ray Lewis, Ralph Lewis, and Edward Lewis; and one sister, Opal Miller.
Survivors include her children, Louise and Calvin Shadwick of Moses Lake, Wash., Alfred Ripenburg of Lincoln, and Edna Layhann of Lincoln; grandchildren Terra Shadwick, Toby Shadwick, Danny Shadwick, Janice and Ryan Rut, Amanda and Chris Zweerink, Paul and Corinne Ripenburg, Brian Drewes, Sara Drewes, Keshia and Jason McDonald; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother, Carl Lewis of Trenton.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home 6800 S. 14 Street. Interment will be at Lincoln Memorial Park.
Visitation is Wednesday from 5-9 p.m., at the funeral home.
Memorials may be left to the family.
