HOXIE -- Lucille M. Shuler, 83, of Hoxie, Kan., died Thursday, May 5, 2005 at the Sheridan County Hospital in Hoxie.
She was born June 16, 1921 on the Krizek Homestead north of Jennings, Kan., to Victor and Pauline (Beneda) Krizek. She attended the Jennings School for eight years until moving to Decatur Community High School of Oberlin, and graduated in 1941
On June 24, 1948, she married Clarence Shuler. They made their home on a farm southwest of Selden until moving into Selden in 1964.
She attended the Selden Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Shuler on March 27, 1996; infant son, Dennis Ray Shuler; brother, Everett Krizek; and sister and brother-in-law, Kathryn and Sam Marshall.
Survivors include one son, Daniel and wife Cheryl Schuler of Jetmore; one brother, Merlin and wife Luella Krizek of McCook; one sister, Lillian and husband, Ben Sammons of Citrus Heights, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday, 10 a.m. at Pauls Funeral Home of Selden with the Reverend Mike Eurit officiating. Interment will follow at Oberlin Cemetery.
Visitation will be today at 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesday at 8 a.m. until time of service.
A memorial fund has been establised in her memory.
