ARAPAHOE -- Lucille LaVeda Weglarz, 87, died Friday (May 6, 2005) at CA Mues Good Samaritan Center in Arapahoe.
She was born Jan. 2, 1918, to Alvin and Grave (Chapman) Swinger in Hudsonville, Ill. She graduated from Lakewood High School in Chicago, Ill. She begin doing bookkeeping at a local general store and then worked for wire manufacturing for the next 37 years. She retired in 1985.
On Feb. 22, 1969, she married George Frank Weglarz in Chicago, Ill. He husband died Aug. 27, 2003. In November of 2003, she moved to Arapahoe to be close to family.
She was a member of the St. Michaels Church of Norridge, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; and brothers, Howard and Lyle Swinger; and sister, Dale Mroz.
Survivors include her daughter, Kitra Kalletta of Arapahoe; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial is Monday, 10:30 a.m., at St. Germanus Catholic Church of Arapahoe with the Rev. Robert Barnhill officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date.
The rosary is Sunday, 7:30 p.m., at St. Germanus Catholic Church in Arapahoe.
Visitation is Sunday, 1-5 p.m., at Wenburg Funeral Home of Arapahoe.
