5th place at Colby

COLBY -- The Decatur Community-Oberlin boys golf team were more competitive in the Colby Invite and that is a good sign as the season draws to a close.

Jobey Black posted a score of 41-43-84, followed by Breck Simonsson 42-43-85, Jonathan Richards had a 44-43-87, Nolan May 43-51-94, Jace Robinson 54-41-95 and Corey Cook 52-46-97.

The team score for the day was 350 placing the Red Devils fifth out of 10 teams.

at Knipping Invite

OXFORD -- The Southern Valley golf team hosted and placed fourth at the Dennis Knipping Invite Thursday with a score of 355.

The tournament was played at the Cardinal Country Club in Oxford.

Medicine Valley followed with 360, Arapahoe 385, Southwest 403, Hitchcock County 408 and Maywood 465.

Zach Robinson of Medicine Valley placed third with an 82 and Josh Murdock of Southern Valley came in fifth with an 85.

Dylan Knuth of Southern Valley rounded out the top 10 with an 86.
