Peggy Jean Ohrman died Saturday, April 30, 2005, at Community Hospital of McCook after a four-year courageous battle with breast cancer. She was 44 years of age.
She was born Feb. 12, 1961, in McCook, the daughter of the late Eugene and Patricia (Wallace) Schaffert.
Peggy grew up in Trenton where she graduated from Trenton High School in 1979.
On Dec. 30, 1993, she married Darrell Ohrman in Benkelman. They have made their home southwest of Culbertson where she enjoyed raising her dogs and horses. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents. She was the loving wife of Darrell Ohrman and shining light to all her nieces and nephews.
Her grace and light touched everyone that knew her. She was a compassionate, supportive wife who gave her whole heart in everything she did. Her smile, bright eyes and spirit of life will be with us always.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Darrell, of Culbertson; two brothers, Russell Schaffert and friend, Lisa of Culbertson, Warren Schaffert and wife, Robin of Trenton, and one sister, Susan Sturzenegger and husband, Martin of Switzerland, relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Culbertson with the Rev. Keith Wellman officiating. Interment will be in the Culbertson Cemetery in Culbertson.
Memorials may be given in her name and friends may call at Herrmann Funeral Chapel in Culbertson from 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
