OBERLIN -- Eleanor Kircher, 79, died Tuesday (April 26, 2005) at Decatur County Hospital in Oberlin.
She was born Aug. 15, 1925, to Albert and Pearl (Allen) Lytle in McCook. She was raised in Box Elder and graduated from Red Willow High School in 1943.
She was a school teacher and taught in rural schools in Red Willow and Frontier Counties. After her retirement she owned Kircher Country Antiques.
She was a member of the American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries, Coordinator of Grand Generations in Indianola and Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister and brother-in-law, Esther and Charles Harris; and brother-in-law, George Hummel.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond Kircher of Oberlin; Liane Martin and husband, Robert of Herndon; sister-in-law, Marie Hummel of Indianola; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchildren.
Services are Friday, 10:30 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oberlin with the Revs. George Kochuvelikkakam and Nick Baker. Interment will be in St. Catherine's Cemetery in Indianola.
Visitation is today until 8 p.m., and Friday, 8 a.m., until service time.
A vigil service is today, 7:30 p.m., at Pauls Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Hanicaped Accessibility.
