Dueland, Hunnicutt wedding

Anna Christine Dueland and Zachary John Hunnicutt, both of Lincoln, were united in marriage Nov. 27, 2004, at the Memorial United Methodist Church in McCook with the Rev. Dr. Jeff Thurman officiating.

Parents of the couple are Dale and Mary Dueland of McCook and Daryl and Willa Hunnicutt of Giltner. Grandparents are Virginia Anderson and Duane and Joanne Dueland of McCook and Gerald and Lucille Hunnicutt of Grand Island.

The bride's gown was of soft ivory satin featuring a graceful square neckline, front and back with a lace-up closure. The skirt fell from a light Basque waistline and was softly pleated. Floral appliques, centered with pearls, enhanced the bodice and skirt. The front hemline and semi-cathedral-length train showed the floral appliques in shadow work.

The maid of honor was Julie Gumb of Kearney. Bridesmaids were Lauren Poole, Shelley-Ann Brown, Megan Rikli, sister of the bridegroom, all of Lincoln, Sonia Harms of Mankato, Minn., and Michelle Olson of McCook. Personal attendant to the bride was her cousin, Danielle Dueland of Lincoln.

Brandon Hunnicutt of Giltner, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Bridegroomsmen were Neal Dueland of McCook, brother of the bride, Colt Swanson of Lincoln, Seth Dunham of Deerfield, Ill., Matt Russell of Omaha, and Matt Aspegren of Siloam Springs, Ark., cousin of the bridegroom.

The bridegroom's nieces, Kinsley and Payton Hunnicutt of Giltner, were flower girls. Jaxson Dueland of Cheyenne, Wyo., cousin of the bride, was the ring bearer.

Ushers were David Davis, Todd Reed, Chris Rikli, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, all of Lincoln, Ryan Shield of Chadron, Josh Hunnicutt of Kearney, cousin of the bridegroom, and Mitchell Lyon of Aurora.

Marie and Hope Hunnicutt of Aurora, cousins of the bridegroom, served as candle lighters. Katie Meyer and Nicole Anderson, both of Lincoln, were guest book attendants.

Providing music for the wedding was Elizabeth Hunnicutt of St. Paul, Minn., cousin of the bridegroom, and David Davis and Shelley-Ann Brown, both of Lincoln.

Hosting a reception at the Red Willow County Community Building in McCook were Jay and Lori Hunnicutt of Aurora, uncle and aunt of the bridegroom, Becky Kinney of Overland Park, Kan., and Barb Gaskins of Omaha, aunts of the bride.

Gift attendants were Amber Mecone of Grand Island and Trey Hunnicutt of Aurora, both cousins of the groom, and Karlie Dueland of McCook, cousin of the bride. Cake servers were Peg Dueland of McCook and Mary Dueland of Cheyenne, Wyo., both aunts of the bride, and Wanda Mecone of Grand Island, aunt of the bridegroom.

The bride earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in family and consumer science education. She is working for the YMCA of Lincoln as the youth and family director for the Lefler Middle School Community Learning Center.

The bridegroom earned a bachelor's degree from UNL in agriculture economics and is currently employed at FuturesOne.

The couple is making their home in Lincoln.
