Anna Irene Geihsler, 77, died Monday (April 18, 2005) at the Cedar Living Center in Oberlin.
She was born March 9, 1928, in Oberlin to Floyd and Francis Emma (Richards) Lewis. She graduated from Red Willow High School in 1947.
On Aug. 12, 1947, she married Harlan Edward Geihsler at Oberlin. To this union three children were born. The couple made their home on a farm southeast of McCook where they both shared the farming responsibilities. They remained on the farm until their health declined and they moved to the Cedar Living Center in Oberlin.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Ash Creek.
She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Lewis; mother and step-father, Frances and Louis Ulrich; one sister, Carol Aardal; and half-brother, Robert Ulrich.
Survivors include her husband, Harlan Geihsler of McCook; one son, Dean Geihsler of McCook; two daughters, Debra Geihsler of Chicago, Ill., and Donna Geihsler of Wichita, Kan.; one sister, Katherine Prater of Stephenville, Texas; four half-sisters, Mary Lou and husband, Bob Ross of Culberston, Kay and husband, Dean Michaels of Denver, Colo., Heddy and husband, Wayne Reiners of McCook and Virginia Mowe of McCook; two half-brothers, Ray Ulrich and wife, Nancy of Florida and LeRoy Ulrich and wife, Avis of McCook; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given in her name.
Funeral services were today at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Ash Creek, with the Rev. Mark Stahla officiating. Burial was at the Danbury-Marion Cemetery.
