Chase County teams sweep at Grant

GRANT -- The Chase County-Imperial boys and girls track teams swept the E. Lee Todd Memorial Meet Saturday at the Grant High School track.

The Longhorn boys scored 161 points, easily outdistancing North Platte-St. Patrick's, which placed second with 116.

Wauneta-Palisade finished seventh with 30 points and Southwest scored 9 points for eighth place.

The Chase County girls edged out Ogallalla 128-125 for the girls title.

Perkins County, consisting of athletes from Grant and Wheatland High Schools, was third with 104.

The Wauneta-Palisade girls place fifth with 35 points, followed by Southwest in sixth with 27.

The Chase County JV picked up 2 points.

Eustis-Farnam teams compete

at Axtell meet

AXTELL -- The Eustis-Farnam girls track team placed fifth at the Axtell Invitational Saturday with 50 points.

The Eustis-Farnam boys finished eighth with 31, led by three first-place finishes by Kole Kugler, who won the 100, 200 and 400-meter races.
