Frieda L. Decker

Frieda Leota Decker, 86, died Thursday (April 7, 2005) at Good Samaritan Health Care Center in Alliance.

She was born Nov. 28, 1918, to George Allen Fletcher and Clara Pearl Fletcher in Hayes County. She attended a rural one-room school and graduated from the eighth grade at Blanche School in Chase County.

In the early 1940s, she married Robert Louis Stanley and moved to Washington shortly after their marriage, where they lived for two years. The couple moved back to Chase County. In February of 1947, her husband died.

In 1966, she married Cecil Decker and lived in Benkelman for 34 years until they moved to Alliance in 2000.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; her daughter, Vicky; and her sister Wilma Hill.

Survivors include her husband, Cecil Decker; her daughter, Georgia Stanley; and one granddaughter, all of Alliance.

Graveside services are Saturday 2 p.m., at Mount Hope Cemetery in Imperial.
