Parents of the couple are Dean and Charlene Fichtner of rural Maywood and Larry and Jody Gipe of North Platte. Grandparents are Harrison and Marion Sellers of Wellfleet.
The bride wore an a-line, ivory gown with a chiffon overlay. The long sleeves and u-shaped neckline were enhanced with appliques, embroidered with pearls. The gown featured a bow at the back of the waist, edged with pearls. The elbow-length veil, accented with pearls, was attached with a floral bun wrap. The bride's bouquet, designed by her mother, featured red and ivory velvet poinsettias with winter greenery. She also carried a handkerchief that belonged to her late great-grandmother Biehl.
The bridegroom wore a full dress black tuxedo, red and black vest, red silk tie and a boutonniere of three red roses.
Tina Stewart, the bride's sister, was the matron of honor. Bridal attendants were Dallas Fichtner, the bride's brother and Lisa Maupin. The girls wore red satin, strapless, floor length gowns with matching shawls. They each carried a bouquet of winter greenery and ivory poinsettia. Dallas wore a tuxedo similar to that worn by the bridegroom.
Roger Thompson, the bridegroom's brother-in-law, served as best man. The bridegroom's attendants were Brandi Thompson, the bridegroom's sister, and Brian McBride. Brandi wore a red satin gown and Roger and Brian wore tuxedos that matched the bridegroom's.
Maisie and Emily Kennicutt were the flower girls. They wore red satin, floor-length gowns and carried white baskets filled with red roses. Jill Kennicutt was the bride's personal attendant. The bride's cousin, Abby Pinkerton, served as wedding assistant.
The candlelighters were Alex and Kyle Thompson, nephews of the bridegroom. Ushers were Chad Stewart, the bride's brother-in-law, Brandon Seller, the bride's cousin, Justin Gipe, the bridegroom's brother, and Greg Weiland.
Accompanied by Brandi Nichols, Rajeana Saathoff was the soloist.
The bridegroom's sisters Sylvia Fox, Crystal Fox and Jessica Lamb attended the guest book and assisted with gifts. Wedding hosts were Doug Sellers and Kenneth Kolbet, uncles to the bride.
A reception at Becky's Hall of Celebration, was hosted by Norma and Dwight Pinkerton, aunt and uncle of the bride and Bob and Nancy Grogan. Serving the buffet supper were Jackie Loomis, Barb Fritsche, Linda Brown, Sue Messersmith and Lanae Stenger. Serving the cake and punch were Elaine Kolbet, Deb Sellers, Colleen Sellers, all aunts of the bride, and Dawn Miller, the bride's cousin. Another cousin, Jarred Fichtner, hosted the wedding dance.
Following a honeymoon in Estes Park and Loveland, Colo., the bride and bridegroom are making their home in North Platte. The bride is a physical therapist at Great Plains Regional Medical Center and the bridegroom is a conductor on the Union Pacific Railroad.
