PLEASANTON -- Phyllis A. Durand, 65, of Pleasanton, died March 17, 2005, at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

She was born in Farnam on Dec. 17, 1939, to Phill and Mamie (Hanes) Crawford. She graduated from Bartley High School in 1957. She then attended Denver College of Business earning an associate degree in business.

She moved back to the Stockville area. During this time she raised her daughter and son. In 1980, she moved to Kearney. She was employed with Deluxe Manufacturing and later Baldwin Filter Company. She worked for Baldwin Filter for 15 years retiring in 1997. In 2002, she moved to Pleasanton.

She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Stockville Women's Club and the American Heart Association.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother, Carl; and infant daughter, Renee Halverson.

Survived by her daughter: Pam and husband Alan Bennett of Cozad; one son, Calvin and wife, Dee Durand of Kearney: five grandchildren; one great granddaughter: one sister, Gladys Earhart of Curtis; one brother, Wayne and wife, Carleen Crawford of Cambridge.

Services are Monday, 10 a.m., at the Congregational Church in Stockville with Raymond Durner officiating. Inturment will be in the Arbor Cemetery in Stockville.

Visitation is Saturday, 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.; Sunday, 1-8 p.m.

Memorials may be left in her name to the Arbor Cemetery.
