Kenneth C. Martin

OBERLIN -- Kenneth C. Martin, 86, died Sunday (Feb. 13, 2005) at Decatur County Hospital in Oberlin.

He was born March 9, 1918, to George and Milda (Borges) Martin in Oberlin. He grew up in the Oberlin area and graduated from Decatur Community High School in 1936.

In 1940, he married Bernice Robertson in Norton. He was a farmer.

He was a member of the Oberlin United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Muriel Martin; and sisters, Fredia Scott and Ethel Martin.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice Martin in Oberlin; two sons, Rolan Martin and wife, Carol of Littleton, Colo., and Lee Martin of Oberlin; daughter, Roxie Erickson of Oberlin; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services are Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., at Pauls Funeral Home of Oberlin with the Rev. Doug Hasty officiating. Interment will be Oberlin Cemetery.

Visitation is today until 8 p.m., and Tuesday, 8 a.m., until service time.

Memorials may be given to the Kenneth Martin memorial fund.
