The flowergirls were Bethani Messersmith of Curtis and Elizabeth Heskett of Hayes Center, nieces of the bridegroom. The ring bearer was Jeron Messersmith of Curtis, nephew of the bridegroom.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of Republican Valley High School. She received a bachelor of arts degree in animal science from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. She is pursuing her veterinary medicine degree at Kansas University in Manhattan, Kan. The bridegroom is a 1993 graduate of Beaver Valley High School. He is attending Manhattan Area Technical College in Manhattan. He is employed as a carpenter.
The couple lives in Riley, Kan.
