Josephine Almira Wesch, 90, died Tuesday (Feb. 8, 2005) at Hillcrest Nursing Home.
She was born Oct. 28, 1914, in Frontier County, to Burtis Lloyd and Minnie Mary (Jewel) McMains. She attended Center Pointe School and received her GED from McCook Community College in 1978.
On June 28, 1939, she married Edward R. Wesch in Oberlin. To this union two sons were born. They made their home in McCook. She was employed in retail management for Montgomery Ward and Gambles.
She was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, Hospital Auxiliary, Professional Women's Club and Garden Prairie Home Extension Club.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Burtis and Minnie McMains; and her husband, Edward Wesch.
Survivors include her two sons, Jerry E. Wesch of Chicago, Ill., and Roland L. Wesch and wife, Sue of McCook; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services are Saturday, 10:30 a.m., at Carpenter Breland Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Jeff Thurman officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation is today, until 5 p.m., and Friday 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Friends may go online at www.carpenterbreland.com to extend condolences.
