Stella M. Biggins, 98, died Thursday (Jan. 20, 2005) at El Dorado Manor Home in Trenton.
She was born Jan. 18, 1907, to Thomas A. and Inez (Mills) McMurry in Waterville, Kan. She grew up in Ravenna where she graduated from Ravenna High School in 1923. She then taught in Montana.
On Feb. 14, 1925, she married Francis Biggins. They made their home in Ravenna before moving to McCook in 1941. The couple spent their life in McCook.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis in 1992; her son, James M. Biggins in 1979; grandson, Jimmy Biggins in 1989; great-grandson, Rory Alexander in 1996; son-in-law, Lee Alexander in 1999; and brother, Charles McMurry.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathleen Alexander Baker and husband, Ben of Trenton; daughter-in-law, Pat Levenhagen of Charles City, Iowa; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
Services were Monday at Herrmann Memorial Chapel in McCook with the Rev. Dr. Jeff Thurman officiating. Interment was in Memorial Park Cemetery in McCook.
