TRENTON -- Bertha Lucille Jones, 64, died Saturday (Jan. 15, 2005) at her home in Trenton.
She was born Aug. 5, 1940, to Henry and Lena (Cole) Anderson in Ovid, Colo. She grew up in Trenton and graduated from Trenton High School in 1958.
On May 14, 1960, she married James Scott.
Later she married Johnnie Jones in April of 1975. He preceded her in death in 1994. She was employed at TRW in McCook from 1966 to 1974. For 25 years she was a supervisor of housekeeping at El Dorado Manor Home in Trenton where she was working at the time of her death.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Joseph, Elvin, James and Allen Anderson; and sisters, Louise Anderson, Lola Heble and Marie King.
Survivors include four daughters, Samela Downing of Douglas, Carla Sapp of Trenton, Shelly Lefler and husband, Brice of Humbolt and Robin Cook of Trenton; three sons, Robert Scott and wife, Sandra of Beauford, S.C., Craig Scott and wife, Beth and Tyler Jones, all of Trenton; three brothers, Charles Anderson and wife, Jean of McCook, Clyde Anderson of Trenton, Robert Anderson and wife, Lyla of Brighton, Colo.; two sister, Ellen Barlow of Culbertson and Evelyn Tompkins of Trenton; sister-in-law, Verba Anderson of Trenton; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services are Thursday, 10:30 a.m., at the Church of God in Trenton with Johnny Walker officiating. Interment will be in Cornell Cemetery in Trenton.
