The birth of the Savior

St. John's Ash Creek Lutheran Church, southeast of McCook, will celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ during its 13th annual live nativity service on Christmas Eve, Friday, at 7 p.m., at the North Sale Barn in McCook. Performing will be the children of Mid-Week School and the adult choir. A free-will donation will be accepted. The public is invited to attend and be aware that, because of new seating arrangements in the sale ring, there is less seating than in the past. Portraying Mary in this year's presentation is Erin Kelley, the daughter of Bruce and Dianne Kelley of Danbury. The part of Joseph is played by Dylan Helberg, the son of Jay and Barb Helberg of Indianola.
