CRESTVIEW, Fla. -- Dale Eldon Porter, 75, died Wednesday (Dec. 15, 2004) at his home in Crestview, Fla.

He was born Jan. 17, 1929, on a farm southwest of Maywood.

He was a retired technical sergeant of the U.S. Air Force who served for 21 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Laura Porter; and sons, Dale Eldon, Jr., Dennis Edwards Porter and Robert Dale Bozeman.

Dale is survived by his wife, Vertice M. Porter of Crestview; son, David and wife, Cathy Porter of Valdosta, Ga.; daughters, Veronica and husband, Jack Knapp of Tallahassee, Fla., Vivian Lingg and Velda Andrijar of Crestview, Fla.; brothers, Vernon and wife, Cozetta of Lincoln and Ivan Porter of Nashville, Tenn.; sisters, Mildred Blake of Bennett, Colo., and Roberta and husband, Delbert Maris of McCook; 16 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
