TOPEKA, Kan. -- Robert Lyle Crawford, 53, of Topeka, Kan., died Sunday (Dec. 5, 2004) of a massive stroke while visiting his parents in Kansas, Okla.
He was born Jan. 19, 1951, in Oberlin. He graduated from Decatur Community High School in 1969. He worked for Haliburton Oil Company in Oberlin. He then worked as an over-the-road truck driver in Topeka.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mara in 2001.
Survivors include his son, Matthew Crawford of Kansas City, Kan.; three step-sons, Marcus Machart and wife of Everett, Wash., Mandel Machart and wife, Pram of Sterling Heights, Mich., and Matthew Machart of McPherson, Kan.; his parents, Bob and Ruth Crawford of Kansas, Okla.; two sisters, Mary Osburn and husband, Steve of Scottsbluff and Helen Gill and husband, Mike of Tulsa, Okla.; and five grandchildren.
Graveside services are Saturday, 11 a.m., at Cookson Hills Christian Ministries Cemetery in Kansas, Okla., with Woody Watson officiating.
Visitation is Friday, 6-8 p.m., at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, Ark.
