Hayes, Gufford wedding
CAMBRIDGE -- Brandi Lyn Hayes and Justin Scott Gufford were united in marriage July 16, 2004, at St. John's Catholic Church in Cambridge with the Rev. Robert Barnhill officiating.
Parents of the couple are Dallas and Teresa Hayes of McCook and Mike and Lori Gufford of Cambridge.
Grandparents of the couple are Claude and Delores Cappel of McCook, Richard and Yvonna Hayes of Cambridge, Evelyn Meyers of Holbrook and Charles and Joan Gufford of Cambridge. Loretta Cappel of McCook is the great-grandmother.
The maid of honor was Chelsey Dame of Kearney. Bridesmaids were Kari Newcomb of Lincoln, Kayla Newcomb of Lincoln, Jennifer Ardery of Lincoln and Tina Pace of McCook.
The bride's personal attendants were Cheryl Cappel of Texas, aunt of the bride, and Michelle Schroeder of Lincoln.
The best man was Brandon Gufford of Kearney, brother of the bridegroom. The bridegroomsmen were Chris Gufford of Kearney, brother of the bridegroom, Tyler Hayes of McCook, brother of the bride, Kyle Trumble of Lincoln and Adam Miller of Alma.
The flower girl was Kaylea Watson of Edison, cousin of the bridegroom. The ring bearer was Skyler Cappel of McCook, cousin of the bride.
The ushers were Kevin Gufford of Denver, Derek Meyers of Chadron, both cousins of the bridegroom, Brady Koch of Kearney, Greg Ahlemeyer of Wilsonville and Joel Shoemaker of Kearney.
The guestbook attendant was Lyndsay Wall of Chadron. The gift attendants were Dawn Gufford of Omaha, Chrisy Meyers of Kearney and Kelli Nelms of Benkelman, all cousins of the couple. The program and bubble attendants were Danielle Cappel, Kirsten Cappel, Emily Cappel and Haylee Meyers, all cousins of the couple.
Beth Kollmorgen of Stratton was the pianist. The vocalist was Cinda Coleman of McCook. The reader was Rod Cappel of McCook, uncle of the bride.
The reception was at the Cambridge Community Building. Host couples were Nikki Cappel of McCook, uncle and aunt of the bride, and Ric and Kate Meyers of Holbrook, uncle and aunt of the bridegroom.
The bride is attending Central Community College in Hastings and plans to complete the dental hygiene program in May of 2005. The bridegroom is attending the University of Nebraska at Kearney and plans to complete a bachelor of construction management degree in May of 2005.
After graduation, the couple plans to live in Houston, Texas.
