ARAPAHOE -- Georgia Grace Esslinger, 50, died Wednesday (Dec. 1, 2004) at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Holdrege.

She was born Jan. 8, 1954, in Oxford to Earl "Bill" and Grace C. (Bowen) Land. She graduated from Oxford High School in 1972.

On May 21, 1972, she married Roy Charles Esslinger at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Elwood. The couple made their home on a farm north of Arapahoe.

In 1989, they moved in to Arapahoe. She then moved to CA Mues Good Samaritan Center of Arapahoe.

She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Arapahoe and the Royal Neighbors of America, Oxford.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Roy, Oct. 10, 2004.

Survivors include one son, William and wife, Misty Esslinger of Omaha; daughter, Amanda and husband, Donald Conn of Arapahoe; brothers, William J. and wife, Betty Land of Nehama and Robert M. and wife, Charlene Land of Bertrand; three sisters, Beverly Ann and husband, Bill Phillips of Henderson, Colo., Martha Marie and husband, Joe Miller of Omaha and Sandra Jane and husband, Gary Dawson of Oxford; five grandchildren.

Services are Saturday, 1:30 p.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church of Arapahoe with the Rev. Jeff Ernstmeyer officiating. Interment will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Arapahoe.

Visitation is Friday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m., at Wenburg Funeral Home of Arapahoe and prior to services at the church.

Wenburg Funeral Home of Arapahoe is in charge of the arrangements.
