Paul Dean Miner, 68, died Friday (Nov. 26, 2004) at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

He was born Dec. 23, 1935, to Cecil Thompson and Mary Etta (Stitzel) Miner on the family farm south of Cambridge. He attended school in Wilsonville.

He joined the U.S. Air Force in December of 1954 and became a jet mechanic.

On Feb. 22, 1955, he married Louella Marie Urban. The couple lived in England, Japan and the United States during his 20 years of service to his country. He retired from the USAF in 1974 and moved to Indianola. The couple moved to McCook in 1984. He worked for almost 30 years in the McCook area in the air conditioning and heating business.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ivan and Wayne and four infant brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Louella Miner of McCook; son Darin Miner and wife, Bernadette, of McCook; daughter, Paula and husband, Patrick Doyle, of McCook; two brothers, Melvin Miner and wife, Beulah, of Grand Island and Ervin Miner of Indiana; sister Marietta Jean and husband, George Hoelscher, of McCook; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, 10 a.m., at Carpenter Breland Chapel with the Rev. Jason Van Pelt officiating. Burial will be at Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell at 2 p.m.
