JENNINGS -- Dennis Edward Bader, 50, died Saturday (Nov. 13, 2004) at Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kan.
He was born Sept. 6, 1954, to Erwin E. and Frances (Coleman) Bader in Wichita, Kan. He was raised in Jennings and attended school there and in Norton. He graduated from Norton High School in 1972.
On Feb. 25, 1978, he married Della Huggett in Bertrand. The couple later divorced.
On June 18, 1988, he married Deb Sullen in Seward. The couple later divorced. He was a truck driver and throughout his life he resided in Kansas, Nebraska and Minnesota.
He volunteered at the Jennings School. He was a member of the Christian church, ZCBJ Lodge, Lions Club, Jennings City Council and the Jennings Volunteer Fire Department.
He was preceded in death by his father, Erwin, on Feb. 11, 1994.
Survivors include his son, Brian Bader of Hastings; daughter, Allison Bader of Grand Island; sister, Sharon Matthews of Fort Worth, Texas; and one step-grandson.
Services are Tuesday, 2 p.m., at the Jennings United Methodist Church with the Rev. Glenn Krebs officiating. Inurnment will be at the Allison Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Dennis Bader Memorial Fund.
