WAUNETA -- Elnora Mae Kitt, 75, died Wednesday (Nov. 10, 2004) at her home south of Wauneta.
She was born April 6, 1929, to Harry and Thelma (Irelan) Cushing in Stratton. She was raised on a farm south of Stratton and graduated from Stratton High School in 1946.
On Aug. 21, 1949, she married Paul W. Kitt in Stratton. The couple lived on a farm south of Wauneta. She was a homemaker.
She had volunteered in many youth programs including Boy Scouts, 4-H and Sunday school at the United Methodist Church of Wauneta.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Paul of rural Wauneta; sons, Craig of East Hampton, N.Y., and Kent of rural Wauneta; daughter, Paula Kitt of Lenexa, Kan.; brothers, Harold Cushing and wife, Oleta of Show-Low, Ariz., Erwin Cushing and wife, Joyce of Stratton and Willis Cushing and wife, Jamie of Las Cruces, N.M.; brother-in-law, Erving and wife, Joan Kitt of Wauneta; sister-in-law, Margie Schackelford and husband, Clifford of Wauneta; and one grandson.
Services are Saturday, 10 a.m. (MST), at the United Methodist Church of Wauneta with the Rev. Judy Dye officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Wauneta.
Visitation is today, 2-6 p.m. (MST), at Liewer Funeral Home of Wauneta.
A memorial has been established to the United Methodist Church of Wauneta or the Wauneta Senior Center.
