Elizabeth Reynolds, 89, died Wednesday (Nov. 10, 2004) at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook.
She was born July 6, 1915, to Arthur J. and Maude (Burkey) Swanson in Moorefield. She grew up in Moorefield and graduate from Moorefield High School. She attended McCook Junior College in McCook.
On Nov. 7, 1937, she married James Edward Reynolds in Oberlin. The couple spent their lives in McCook.
She was a 50 year member of Memorial United Methodist Church in McCook and a member of the UTU Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Victory Card Club and the YMCA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James on March 6, 1978; her parents; one brother, Donald J. Swanson; and one sister, Louise Pickerel.
Survivors include one daughter, Jean Parry of McCook; one sister, Bernita Kull of Yakima, Wash.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services are Saturday, 10 a.m., at the Memorial United Methodist Church in McCook with the Rev. Dr. Jeff Thurman officiating. Interment will be in the Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell Nov. 15 at 11 a.m.
Memorials may be given in her name to the Heritage Senior Center in McCook and friends may call at Herrmann Funeral Home of McCook from 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
