KEARNEY -- Shaylynn (Heble) Baker and Jeff Schuetze, both of Kearney, were united in marriage Aug. 7, 2004, at the Newman Center Ministry in Kearney with the Rev. Mike McDonald, of the Prince of Peace Church, officiating.

Parents of the couple are Patricia and Charlie Powers of McCook, the late Steve Heble and Jan and MaryBeth Schuetze of West Point.

Grandparents of the couple are Sylvia Altman of McCook, the late Adolph Altman, Leonard and LaVanda Schuetze of West Point, Eleanor Spencer of Beemer and the late Henry Spencer.

The maid of honor was Jennifer Judd of Omaha. Bridesmaids were Shannon Heble of Bellevue and Jenny Taylor of The Woodlands, Texas, both sisters of the bride.

The best man was Brian Hubbard of Kearney. Bridegroomsmen were James Schuetze of Lincoln, brother of the bridegroom, and Jason Meiergerd of West Point.

Ushers for the ceremony were Ryan Powers of Bismark, N.D., step-brother of the bride, and Jeff Holsten of Gothenburg.

Ceremony music was provided by the Cottonwood Quartet.

The reception was at the Holiday Inn in Kearney. Host couples were Gary and Lisa Schuetze of West Point, Connie Wieser of McCook and Jim Altman of Lafayette, La.

The bride is a 1990 graduate of McCook High School and is employed with WalMart Stores Inc., in Kearney. The bridegroom is a 1996 graduate of Central Catholic in West Point. He is in management with WalMart Store Inc., in Hastings.

The couple lives in Minden.
