WILSONVILLE -- Dennis Kasson, 52, died Tuesday (Oct. 12, 2004) at the Via Christi St. Francis Burn Center in Wichita, Kan.
He was born Sept. 22, 1952, to Curtis and Evelyn "Bobbie" (Meyers) Kasson in Norton, Kan. He grew up Southeast of Wilsonville on the family farm. He went to school in Wilsonville and graduated from high school in 1970.
He attended Central Nebraska Technical College (CNTC) at Hastings.
On Oct. 1, 1971, he married Mary Margaret "Sandi" Harr in Wilsonville. The couple farmed on the family farm. He was a licensed pilot.
He was a former member of the Lower Republican Natural Resources District. He was a member of the Aircraft Owner and Pilots Association and a member of Floyd's Wednesday's Social Club.
He was preceded in death by his infant brother, James Wynn Kasson.
Survivors include his wife, Sandi of Wilsonville; one son, Matthew and wife, Jennifer of Norcatur; one daughter, Melissa and husband, Bradley Uehlin of Danbury; one brother, Michael and wife, Moni of Morrow, Ga.; mother-in-law, Mary Ann John of Arapahoe; and four grandchildren.
Services are Friday, 2 p.m., at the Wilsonville School with Kirk Kasson officiating. Burial will be in the Wilsonville Cemetery.
Memorials may be left in his name.
