IMPERIAL -- Violet Nichols, 96, died Thursday (Sept. 30, 2004) at Chase County Community Hospital in Imperial.

She was born Nov. 6, 1907, to Ed and Stella (Rowley) Ellison in Wauneta.

On Oct. 11, 1924, she married Fern Nichols of Wauneta. He died Sept. 25, 1974. She spent her life on a farm south of Wauneta being helping her husband. She later moved to Wauneta before moving to an assisted living facility in North Platte and Imperial.

She was a lifetime member of The Church of Christ in Wauneta.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fern; aunts, uncles and cousins.

Survivors include one son, Eddie and wife, Donna Nichols of Wauneta; three grandsons; and six great-grandchildren.

Services are Tuesday, 2 p.m. (MDT), at the Wauneta Church of Christ with Randy Hayes officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Wauneta.

Visitation is today, until 6 p.m. (MDT), at Liewer Funeral Home in Wauneta.

Memorials may be given in her name to the Wauneta Medical Building Fund.
