MILFORD -- Elmer "Sonny" Lee Sedam, Jr., 65, died Monday (Sept. 20, 2004) in Milford after a long battle with cancer.
He was born Aug. 29, 1939, to Elmer Lee and Marguerite (Flowers) Sedam in Lincoln. He attended Lincoln High School.
He married NormaJean Catherine Brown and she preceded him in death.
On July 9, 2004, he married Linda (Kramer) Siems in Milford. He was a long-haul truck driver for many years and most recently was a supervisor with Service Master in Seward.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, NormaJean; his parents; and two sisters, Babe Nutz and Maxine House.
Survivors include his wife, Linda of Milford; three sons, Alan and wife, Connie Sedam of Fort Bragg, N.C., Troy and wife, Billie Jo Sedam of Arlington, Va., and James and wife, Lana Sedam of Lincoln; two daughters, Lora Sedam of Omaha and Tina Murphy of Lincoln; one brother, Marvin and wife, Erna Sedam of Lincoln; six sisters, Lydia and husband, Bob Massie of Milford, Peggy and husband, Kenny Tomlin of Holbrook, Millie Myers and special friend, Rick Long of Lincoln, Polly Schoonover of Lincoln, Winefred Martin of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Betty Brewning of Gold Beach, Ore.; and four grandchildren.
Services are Saturday, 10 a.m., at Lauber-Moore Funeral Home in Milford. Interment will be at 3 p.m., at the Bartley Cemetery.
Visitation is Friday, 3-8 p.m., and until service time Saturday.
