Robert D. "Bob" Zlomke, 54, of McCook died Thursday, Sept. 9, 2004, at Great Plains Regional Medical Center.
Robert was born Jan. 9, 1950, to Dean Harold and Dorothy Evangeline (Goodwin) Zlomke at Grand Island. He grew up in Grand Island and graduated from Grand Island Central Catholic High School in 1968. He also attended Kearney State College.
He moved to Estes Park, Colo., where he owned a music store. He moved to McCook in 1979. On Oct. 29, 1983, he married Bonnie Riley in McCook.
He owned and operated McCook Vac & Sew for nearly 20 years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and helped with the Boy Scouts. He loved fishing, camping, playing the guitar and playing cards.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Richard.
Survivors include his wife Bonnie of McCook; two brothers, John Zlomke and wife, Peggy of McCook and Dean Zlomke and wife, Tammy of Baltimore, Md.; mother and father-in-law, Charles and Vivian Riley of McCook; two brothers-in-law, Bob Riley and wife, Geraldine of Orlando, Fla., and Chris Riley and wife, Janet of Indianola; three nephews, Justin, Jordan and James Zlomke; aunts and uncles; and many good friends.
Memorials are being accepted in his name.
Memorial services will be Monday, 10 a.m., at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook with Jerry Beckenhauer officiating. There will be a private family inurnment at a later time.
