NORTH PLATTE -- Lavona Mae McClintock, 81, died Wednesday (Sept. 8, 2004) at Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte.
She was born Sept. 3, 1923, to Matthew and Ester Eliason Hawkinson in Holdrege. The family moved to Chase County when she was young and she attended grade school in Lamar. The family moved to Morill in 1939.
On Feb. 22, 1947, she married Warren McClintock in Torrington, Wyo. They moved their farm south of Grainton, where they lived until 1994, when they moved to North Platte.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne; one granddaughter; and one great-grandson.
Survivors include her husband, Warren of North Platte; three daughters, Renae and husband, Ron of Lee's Summit, Mo., Jan and husband, Mike O'Brien of Wallace and Karma and husband, Tony Dorn of Minden; a son, Duane and wife, Sue McClintock of rural Grainton; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services are Saturday, 1:30 p.m., at Grace Lutheran Church in Sutherland with the Rev. Judy Gifford officiating. Interment will be in Morningview Cemetery in Wallace.
Visitation is today until 8:30 p.m., at Odean Colonial Chapel in North Platte and before services at the church.
The family has established a memorial.
