May 24, 1948-July 22, 2004

Carolyn Louise (Capp) Bell went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 22, 2004. She was born May 24, 1948, in McCook to George and Elsie (Schmidt) Capp. She graduated from McCook High School in 1966 and attended Colorado State University for two years. She lost both of her parents in 1968 and moved to Denver to work for Mountain Bell Phone Co.

On Dec. 20, 1969, she married her high school sweetheart, Roger Bell after his return from Vietnam. They were married in McCook and moved to North Platte to live and work. In 1971, they moved to Fort Collins, Colo., to work and enjoy the mountains. Carolyn went to work for Teledyne Waterpik in both Fort Collins and Loveland until she retired with health problems in 1985. From 1975, until the time of her death the couple lived on a small acreage near Masonville, in the home that they constructed together.

Carolyn loved the Sheltie and Collie dog breeds and enjoyed life with the Shelties she raised. She enjoyed collecting Collie statues and other memorabilia. She loved being in the mountains on the many hunting and fishing trips, while still in good health. She was always busy with her gift of encouraging people, sending cards and lifting them up. She had a heart as big as Mount Princeton and a love for the Lord to match. She accepted Christ as her Savior at Loveland Evangelical Covenant Church and worked as a volunteer in the office with one of her dearest friends, Vonnie Bangert. Later, she attended Galilee Baptist Church and developed a loving relationship with many of the people there. Carolyn especially enjoyed the Sunday School group filled with the most loving and caring people. They will always hold a special place in her heart.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, George Capp, Sr.; mother, Elsie (Schmidt) Capp; her brother, George Capp, Jr.; her uncle Walter Schmidt; and her mother-in-law, Beaulah Clouse.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Bell of Loveland; her dearest aunt, Mary Ellen Wheeler and husband, John of Denver; her aunt, June Herold and husband, Otto of Denver; a special cousin, Sandra Welnitz and husband, Lyle of Denver; her sister-in-law, Karen Capp of Juneau, Alaska; nephew, Trenton Capp and wife, Kimberly of Erie, Penn.; her step-father, Harold Clouse of McCook; sister-in-law, Karen Smith and husband, Smitty of McCook; sister-in-law, Dianne Alexander and husband, Arden of Liberal, Kan.; sister-in-law, Kay Ann Johnson of Brighton, Colo.; and brother-in-law, Warren Bell of Loveland, Colo.

Cremation and private services have been held. Should family or friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Galilee Baptist Church, 2525 Van Buren Court, Loveland, CO 80538 or the Double J Pet Ranch, 14253 Highway 392, Greeley, CO 80631.
