LEXINGTON -- Jay Michael Racek, 20, died Saturday (July 17, 2004) as a result of a motorcycle accident in Lexington.

He was born Aug. 14, 1983, and was adopted by Mike and Audrey (Beck) Racek on July 12, 1989. He grew up in Lexington and graduated from Lexington High School in 2002. He was active in football, wrestling, track and baseball.

He attend McCook Community College and played baseball for the Indians.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lexington.

Survivors include his parents, Mike and Audrey Racek of Lexington; sisters, Schuyler and Betsy Racek of Lexington; brother, Harrison "Bubba" Racek of Lexington; and grandparents, Marshall and Carole Beck of Lexington and John and Pat Racek of Lexington.

Services are Wednesday, 2 p.m., at the First United Methodist Church in Lexington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to the Lexington Baseball Association.

Reynolds-Love Funeral Home of Lexington is in charge of the arrangements.
