IMPERIAL -- Edward H. "Ed" Greeley, 76, died Thursday (July 8, 2004) at Chase County Community Hospital.
He was born April 21, 1928, on the family farm in Hayes County to Gordon and Ethel (Madison) Greeley. He moved with his family to Chase County where he attended Lone Star School.
On Aug. 27, 1949, he married Marie Ott. He worked on various farms before returning to the family farm in 1967. In 1977 he moved to Imperial where he owned and operated a mechanic shop until his retirement. Due to failing health he moved to the Imperial Manor 10 years ago.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four grandsons.
Survivors include three daughters, Marsha and husband, Donnie Nichols of Danbury, Sharon and husband, Jim Crown of Brady, and Connie and husband Brian Williamson of Missouri; one brother, Raymond and wife, Bernita of Imperial; one sister, Shirley Clark of Steamboat Springs, Colo.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services are Monday, 11 a.m. MDT at the United Methodist Church in Imperial with the Rev. Murray Schmechel officiating. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery.
Visitation is Sunday, 5-8 p.m. MDT at Liewer Funeral Home in Imperial.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Imperial Manor.
