Warren Herbert Frazier, 74, of McCook, died Sunday, June 20, 2004, at Bryan LGH East in Lincoln.

He was born Nov. 1, 1929 in Oakley, Kan., to Samuel E. and Mary Jane (Pickett) Frazier. He attended school at Oakley Public Schools.

On May 7, 1952, he entered the U.S. Army 2nd Infantry and served during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged in Feb. 6, 1954. After his discharge, he continued to serve in the Army Reserves for eight years.

He returned to Quinter and Oakley, Kan., where he along with his father owned and operated sale barns. In 1959, he moved to the McCook community and was part owner/operator of the East Sale Barn. He later bought and fed cattle and attended an auction every day for the rest of his life.

He married Anna Aleen Deaver in Ellis, Kan., on Aug. 3, 1946. She preceded him in death in April of 1991.

On Oct. 10, 1992, he married Sharon K. (Horner-Horst) in McCook.

He was a member of the VFW and life-time member of McCook Elks Lodge. He attended Our Savior‚s Lutheran Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Aleen; one son, Steve in April of 1987; one brother, Gerald; and three sisters, Velma, Velda and Florence.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon of McCook; one son, Joe and wife, Jody Frazier of McCook; one daughter, Penny Frazier of Hohot, China; two step-daughters, Ann Kester and husband, Kipp of Bartley and Michelle Petersen and husband, Todd of Minden; his step-mother, Fern Frazier of Quinter, Kan.; one brother, Max Frazier and wife, Nancy of Manhattan, Kan.; and five grandchildren, Sarah, Stuart, Sam, Kirstyn and Karson.

Memorials may be given in his name to Community Hospital Foundation or the American Heart Association.

Funeral service will be Saturday, June 26, 2004, 11 a.m., at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with Jerry Beckenhauer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday and Thursday until 5 p.m. The family will be receiving friends Friday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Words of condolences may be sent to www.carpenterbreland.com.
