Ethanol production

Friday, June 18, 2004

Showing the widespread participation needed for ethanol production projects are these four men. They are playing key roles in the development of the first phase of the SW Energy, LLC plant, located 4 miles west of McCook at the Perry site. The research and development facility is now in operation, turning out fuel grade ethanol at sufficient levels to qualify for Nebraska incentives. Those who came long distances to help with the project are (from left) Josh Murray of Ontario, Canada, an engineer associated with Commerical Alcohol Inc., of Tiverton, Canada; Robert Keeney of Illinois, the job supervisor for TE Ibberson Co. of Hopkins, Minn.; Steve Lipetzki of Springfield, Minn., the investors' representative at the construction site; and Bibb Swain, representing Delta T Corp. of Williamsburg, Va. "It's running like clockwork," Keeney said of the new prototype production facility. Delta T Corp. designed and built the equipment, while TE Ibberson did the installation. (Gene O.
