Tornado sirens sound

A cloud rolls over McCook on Saturday evening, prompting local authorities to sound tornado sirens when rotation was noted in the clouds over Norris Avenue. Earlier, a tornado warning was sounded when the National Weather Service Office in Goodland detected a possible tornado in the county, and minor damage was reported south of Beaver City. Gusts reached as high as 65 mph in the storm, but the full fury fo the storm didn't develop until it reached Eastern Nebraska. McCook received .77 of an inch of rain.
