Jessie J. Mowry, 20, died Sunday (May 16, 2004) at Cambridge Memorial Hospital as a result of an automobile accident.
He was born March 8, 1984, to Rick and Jan (Witt) Mowry in Jacksonville, N.C. He was a graduate of Cambridge High School. While in high school he participated in football and wrestling and qualified for the state wrestling tournament his senior year.
He was serving in the Army at Fort Riley, Kan., at the time of his death.
He was preceded in death by his infant sister, Jennifer in 1982; grandmother, Karen Carlson; aunt, Jilie Beth Witt; great-grandparents, "Swede" Wurm and Sarah and Clarence Witt.
Survivors include his parents, Rick and Jan Mowry of Wilsonville; twin brother, Justin Lee and younger brother, Terry; grandparents, Eugene and Beverly Witt of Danbury and Jake and Joan Mowry of Arapahoe; and great-grandmothers, Iris Wurm of Oberlin and Martha Kenyan of McCook.
Services are Wednesday, 3 p.m., at Trinity United Methodist Church in Cambridge with the Revs. David Rowe and Tim Burke officiating. Interment will in Marion Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his name and left at the mortuary.
