Richard "Dick" Wagner, 65, passed away May 5, 2004, in Kearney of unexpected heart failure.
He was born May 16, 1938, in Culbertson to Wanda and Arthur Wagner. He was born and grew up on the family farm, one of five children, and completed 12 years of schooling.
Dick started work as a Rainbo bread man in McCook in 1958 and moved to Grand Island in 1962. Three years later, in 1965, Dick's job with Rainbo moved the family to Colorado Springs, Colo. For the last 24 years, he owned and operated WW Restaurant Equipment in Colorado Springs.
Dick was preceded in death by parents, Wanda and Arthur Wagner; daughter, Debbie White; and sister, Diane Simpson.
Surviving him is his wife of 45 years, Dee Wagner; daughter Judy (Barry) Hall; son-in-law, Jim White; sons, Jerry (Juanita), Brad (Tonda) and Allen (Lisa); as well as 23 grandchildren. Also surviving him is a sister, Phyllis Screen; brother, Duane (Deanie) Wagner; brother-in-law, Dave Simpson; and many nieces and nephews.
