ARAPAHOE -- Lois Allene (Voss) Hahn, 79, died Tuesday (April 20, 2004) at the CA Mues Good Samaritan Center in Arapahoe.

She was born Nov. 14, 1924, to W. Delbert and Opal L. (Odell) Weatherwax in Furnas County. She attended country school and then graduated in 1943 from Arapahoe High School.

She taught school for a few years after graduation.

On June 23, 1946, she married Elmer Dewayne Voss in Oberlin, Kan. The couple made their home in Arapahoe, where they worked together in a wallpapering business. She also worked for Life Bakery in Arapahoe. She was a cook for both CA Mues Nursing Home and Arapahoe Public Schools. In 1968, her husband died.

On June 3, 1973, she married John Lloyd "Bud" Hahn. They ran the bowling alley together in Arapahoe until 1975, when they retired. They joined a camper club and went south for many winters. Her husband, John "Bud" died in 2001.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Eastern Star Renee Chapter 212 and VFW Auxiliary, all of Arapahoe. She held offices in all the groups.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer Dewayne Voss and husband, John Lloyd "Bud" Hahn; step-daughter, Linda Hahn; sister-in-law, Jean Weatherwax and brother-in-law, Harold Hahn and Lewis Skiles.

Survivors include two sons, Duane and wife, Carla Voss of Cambridge and Larry and wife, Carol Voss, also of Cambridge; one daughter, Judy and husband, Jerry Schroeder of Arapahoe; step-mother, Jennie Weatherwax of Cambridge; step-daughters, Patricia and husband, Johnie Vaughn of Henderson, Colo., and Karen and husband, Marvin Stumpe of Oklahoma City, Okla.; brother, Frank Weatherwax of Niobrara; sisters-in-law, Merle Skiles of Beaver City and Glenda Hahn of Norton; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; 12 step-grandchildren; 21 step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandchild.

Services are Saturday, 2 p.m., at the First United Methodist Church in Arapahoe with the Rev. Hyeongdong Baek officiating. Interment will be in Arapahoe Cemetery in Arapahoe.

Visitation is today until 8 p.m., and Friday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m., at Wenburg Funeral Home of Arapahoe.
