MUNJOR, Kan. -- Calysta C. Rohr, 62, died Saturday (April 17, 2004) at her home in Munjor, Kan.
She was born May 6, 1941, to Marcellus E and Bertha (Pfannenstiel) Gross near Palco, Kan. She attended school in Plainville, Kan., and a country school near Holbrook. She graduated from the University of Nebraska School of Agriculture in Curtis and she attended one year of college at Nebraska State College in Kearney.
On Aug. 24, 1963, she married Francis Lee Rohr in Munjor. She was a bookkeeper and secretary for Lee Rohr Floor Covering in Munjor.
She was a member of the Christian Mothers of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Munjor and a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She was also a member of Our Lady's Rosary Makers Club and made 8,300 rosaries for the missions and by special requests for gifts.
She was preceded in death by her father, Marcellus E. Gross.
Survivors include her husband, Lee of Munjor; one son, James Rohr and wife, Carey of Eustis; two daughters, Marla Kreutzer and husband, Kevin of Overland Park, Kan., and Charlene Werth and husband, Mike of Antonio, Kan.; her mother, Bertha Gross of Hays, Kan.; one brother, Robert D. Gross and wife, Rosiette of Holbrook; and three grandchildren.
Services are Wednesday, 10 a.m., at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Munjor. Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery in Munjor.
A Christian Mothers rosary will be Tuesday, 6 p.m., followed by a parish vigil at 6:30 p.m., at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Friends may call the funeral home Tuesday from 3-8 p.m., and Wednesday 9-9:30 a.m.
A memorial has been established in her name with the St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church.
