KEARNEY -- Donley V. Gleason, 81, died Thursday (March 25, 2004) at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
He was born Aug. 21, 1922, to Vern and Hazel Gleason in Wray, Colo. He graduated from Wray High School.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
On Sept. 23, 1950, he married Vera M. Kimberling in Wray. He was meat cutter in Colorado. In 1974, he moved to Beaver City, where he built the locker plant.
He was a member of the Masons and the Shriners.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters; and one son.
Survivors include his wife, Vera of Beaver City; three daughters, Becky and husband, Kenny Soderlund of Beaver City, Charlene and husband, Jerry Schroader of Brighton, Colo., and Donleyetta and her husband, Junior Linner of Beaver City; one sister, Dawlphan Snedker of Yuma, Colo.; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services are Friday, April 2, 11 a.m., at Friendship Center Church in Beaver City with the Rev. Bonnie Perkins officiating. Inurnment will be in Wray.
