HOLDREGE -- Ethel Louise Bradley, 62, died Wednesday (March 10, 2004) at Holdrege Memorial Home in Holdrege.
She was born Feb. 21, 1942, to Reg and Minnie (Kporf) Broome in Perry, Mich. The family made their home in Buffalo, N.Y., where she attended school.
She married Lowell Carey. In 1985, she moved to McCook, where she worked as a housekeeper for several families.
In 1987, she married Doug Bradley. They made their home in McCook. In 2001, due to her failing health, she moved to the Holdrege Memorial Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Steven Carey in 1981; and three brothers.
Survivors include two daughters, Regina Judd and fiance, Thomas Owen of Kearney and Denise Barber of Denver; one son, Bud Carey of Kearney; one brother, Jerald Broome and wife, Addie of Tonawanda, N.Y; one sister, Linda Streicher of Buffalo, N.Y.; and five grandchildren.
Services are Monday, 2 p.m., at Nelson-Harris Funeral Home in Holdrege with Chaplain Jean Clayton officiating. Her body will be cremated.
A memorial has been established in her memory.
